Please Don’t Stop The Music!

Sistema Mississauga has been providing free music instruction to kids in Mississauga for four years. However, our program is much more than just a music program: Our mission is to empower youth with a strong sense of excellence, self-respect, and mutual support for others in the community through the pursuit of musical excellence in order to prepare them for a better tomorrow.

Sistema Mississauga takes place after-school twice a week, where they receive choral, drumming and violin or cello instruction, but the program doesn’t just live in the classroom. Our students will be singing the National Anthem at the start of the Mississauga Steelheads game for the second straight year on March 20th. They also perform at our annual end-of-year fundraising concerts, with our next one coming this June.

We have big aspirations for our students, but unfortunately our current funding ends in May 2016 and we don't want to have to stop our program before the end of the 2016 school year. This leaves seven weeks of our program unfunded. We need your help to keep the music going!

If we can raise $1765.00 to continue providing this program until the end of June, this will provide us with more time to continue raising money through grants for the 2016/2017 school year without interrupting the program. All of the funds raised from the crowdfunding campaign will go towards teacher salaries.  

“Please Don’t Stop The Music” is a crowdfunding campaign that will reward you with perks while helping us achieve our goal. Perks include Sistema Mississauga memberships, social media shoutouts, a personalized jingle, and gift cards from iTunes, Cineplex and Starbucks.
