Ah, Port Credit. The village on the lake that's "always on and always electric," with an array of shops, attractions and events to keep the place buzzing year round.
We got by with a little help from our friends at the Port Credit BIA and put together six reasons you should visit Port Credit:
1. Live music
Roc N Docs, (offering live music seven nights a week!), The Brogue Inn, Shore and Door 55 are a few of the many live music venues in Port Credit that keep toes tapping and noggins nodding.
2. The food scene
From Italian to Indian and pubs to patios, Port Credit boasts a plethora of dining options to keep nearly any stomach satisfied! With a host of new eateries coming, the variety is only getting better! Not to mention the Farmer's Market!
3. The Waterfront
The Mississauga Waterfront Trail slices through Port Credit offering vivacious views, stunning sunrises and sunsets and is beautiful year round.
4. Festivals
The Mississauga Waterfront Festival, Buskerfest, The Port Credit Comedy Festival, The Southside Shuffle and Paint The Town Red help bring us together as a community and are draw hometown crowds as well as attendees from several other cities.
5. Local Merchants
Having a small town feel is only as good as the merchants that support it. The over 400 shops that line the streets of Port Credit are filled with owners, full time and part time staff, husband and wife teams, friends and family teams and other combinations that offer an engaging, as opposed to a transactional, experience.
6. The musical crosswalk painting at Hurontario and Lakeshore
Keeping in line with the strong music and arts presence in Port Credit, the crosswalk at Hurontario and Lakeshore is painted in the form of piano keys instead of the traditional white lines.
We'd love to hear from you about what your reasons are to visit Port Credit.
