"Mayor's City-Wide Food Drive Challenge" starts today
Mayor Crombie's annual "Mayor’s City-Wide Food Drive Challenge" as a part of The Mississauga Food Bank’s Annual Thanksgiving Campaign launches today, Monday, September 19th.
Last year, Mississaugans impressively donated 148,900 lbs of food were donated and $82,917.
This year, the goal is build upon last year's success and to raise 200,000 lbs of food and $100,000 by Friday, October 14.
You can participate by engaging in the "One Bag Challenge" by filling a bag with nutritious non-perishable food items, taking a photo or video as you deliver your donation to your local grocery store, fire station, or The Mississauga Food Bank, and posting your photo or video on social media and challenge five people to do the same within 48 hours.

You can join Mayor Crombie at the Family Thanksgiving Celebration on Saturday, October 8 at Fire and Emergency Services HQ on Fairview Rd, taking place from 11 AM to 4 PM.
