Learn about CanJam, Mississauga's first Canadian-Jamaican music festival

On Saturday,  August 5th, 2017 from 11am to 11pm, Lakeside Park in Clarkson hosts CanJam, the first ubran Canadian-Jamaican music festival in beautiful Mississauga.

This exciting event, spearheaded by Beatrice Moreira-Laidlow and Michael Dockery, will feature a wide selection of free family fun that is aimed to have something for everyone.
In addition to a stellar line up of Canadian artists and celebrating Canadian-Jamaican culture, there will be plenty of authentic Caribbean and Canadian cuisine, craft vendors, an opportunity to  create your own CanJam bracelet, face painting for the kids (and maybe some adults!) interactive games, inflatables, and a very cool “Great Canadian Moose Hunt.”
As an added bonus, 500 glowsticks will be handed out to help keep things bright after the sun has gone down.

This event is geared to encourage diversity and unity in one of the most multicultural countries in the world, as well as to highlight and support the wonderful Canadian talent in our own back yard.

Lakeside park is located at 2268 Lakeshore Road West.
They will be collecting a donation for parking with proceeds to benefit  Epilepsy South Central Ontario, which is a very noble thing of CanJam to do.

CanJam’s founders believe that community involvement in this event will  set the precedence for appreciation of the music, arts and rich history of the Canadian Jamaican community.
