The Stratford Writers Festival places focus on the art of songwriting

After the major successes of their past two literary festivals in Stratford, Ontario, DigiWriting will be hosting their third writers festival from October 20-22, 2017. The three-day event will feature highly regarded and well known authors from across Canada, as well as unique workshops and diverse programming that will place a focus on the specific art of songwriting.

On Friday, October 20, the DigiWriting Stratford Writers Festival brings you the expertise and talents of Juno-nominated artist Dayna Manning in a songwriting workshop. Manning will review how to take listeners to another world using cohesive music, lyrics, and cinematic storytelling in song.

That evening Manning hosts some of Canada's most talented songwriters performing their songs and sharing the stories behind them. This Songwriters Circle will feature a night of music and conversation with performances by renowned lyricist Ron Sexsmith, award-winning songwriter Jason Barry, songwriter/singer Emm
Gryner, and Dayna Manning herself.

The DigiWriting Stratford Writers Festival will occur from October 20-22, 2017, with events held in various venues around the downtown core. Tickets cost $25 and up depending on the event.
