Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - What you need to bring when you vote in the 2018 Municipal Election
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”
We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about what you need to bring with you when you vote in the 2018 Municipal Election.
I am getting ready to vote in the upcoming Municipal Election. What do I need to bring with me when I go vote?
When you are heading to the polls on Election Day on Monday, October 22, you will need to bring your Voter Notification Letter and acceptable identification (ID) that lists your name and address.
If you are an eligible voter, you should have received a Voter Notification Letter in the mail. This letter lists all of the voting locations in your ward that you can vote at. By bringing this letter with you when you vote, it will make voting even quicker.
If you didn’t receive this letter, don’t worry, you can still vote if you are eligible. Simply bring acceptable ID that lists your name and address to a voting location in your ward on Election Day.
· Ontario driver’s licence or Ontario health card
· A void personalized cheque
· a recent paycheque
· a document showing campus residence
· a hospital card or record
· a utility bill for hydro, water, gas, telephone or cable TV.
