In our ongoing Modern Entrepreneur series, we chat with Corrie Harding-Keizs, partner and team leader of North Group Real Estate Mississauga. We learn about what drives her, how she gives back to the community and her advice for other entrepreneurs.

What do you do?
As partner and team leader of the west-end expansion of our Toronto based team, I’ve expanded North Group Real Estate to Mississauga. We are currently one of the top 10 teams in all of Keller Williams Realty Canada. 

How long have you been an entrepreneur for?
15 amazing years. It’s been a remarkable journey and I absolutely love what I do.

Why did you pick Mississauga for your business location?
I’ve always lived by the water and have lived in Port Credit for the past six years. It’s a perfect fit for us with its small town community feel. Mississauga is where my husband grew up so we have lots of family and friends close by. 

What's the most rewarding aspect of what you do?
Helping our clients with their real estate goals and being a part of their home buying and selling experience Recently ,North Group is  Canada's first official “give back homes partner”, so we will be building a home for a local family in need in 2019. This is what matters - helping people & giving back. 

Describe yourself in six words:
Honest, motivated, hardworking, committed, dependable, caring. 

What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs?
Stay focused even when it’s difficult and you want to give up. Keep pushing forward and surround yourself with supportive, likeminded people as the circle you keep is very important. Envision where you want to be - seeing is believing and positive thoughts work wonders! I love the quote “what you focus on expands” 

What do the next three years look like for you?
North Group has recently been nominated most innovative team in North America by INMAN, the real estate industry's authority on news, marketing & technology. We plan to service the entire golden horseshoe with partners in every region. We're pushing boundaries and offering a completely different approach to buying & selling real estate.

How do you/North Group give back to the community?
Supporting our local community is the cornerstone of our business. I’m very active in the community giving back as much as I can by volunteering for the Lyndwood Community Association, where we host many local events throughout the year. I’m always looking to give back and support our local businesses and it’s crucial to “give where you live.”

What drives you?
Striving to be the best version of myself. My parents were my biggest supporters growing up and instilling the mindset that anything is possible. That has truly been the best gift they could have given me.
With that comes confidence to realize that truly, the sky is the limit!
