Celebrate the Holidays with the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra

Celebrate the spirit of the season by enjoying one, or both, of the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra’s annual Christmas concerts. From the traditional music of Handel's masterwork oratorio Messiah, to the festive melodies of A Merry Little Christmas, the MSO will feature music for everyone this holiday season.

Both concerts take place within the Living Arts Centre. Regular ticket prices start at $40. Discounts are available for students, seniors and families. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at the Living Arts Centre at: 905-306-6000, or by visiting them online at livingartscentre.ca.
Complimentary underground parking is included with every ticket purchase.

On Saturday December 15, join the MSO for a concert of highlights from Handel’s masterwork oratorio, Messiah. Outstanding soloists and the wonderful voices of the Mississauga Festival Chamber Choir join the orchestra in selections which include the uplifting and iconic Hallelujah Chorus. A musical rite of the holiday season, the Baroque-era oratorio still awes listeners 270 years after it was first performed. Soloists include:
Angela Yoo, soprano; Lillian Brooks, mezzo-soprano; Zachary Rioux, tenor; and Christopher Dunham, baritone. The concert will begin at 8pm.

On Sunday December 16, sing along with a combined orchestra of over 200 MSO and MSYO musicians as they play your holiday favourites with support from Resonance, Mississauga's premier youth choir. Audience members are encouraged to bring their bells to jingle along with each holiday tune. For those without bells of their own, the colourful merry makers will be available for purchase at the annual Christmas market in the atrium that will also feature holiday gifts created by the multi-talented musicians of the MSO. The Long & McQuade instrument petting zoo, a favourite at every MSO Christmas concert, returns to allow aspiring musicians of all-ages to test their instrument of choice. A Merry Little Christmas proves to be extremely popular each year, with sell-outs recorded for the last five seasons. Make sure to purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment at the box office on concert day. The concert will begin at 3pm.
