Today’s question is about getting a marriage licence in Mississauga.

Who do I talk to about getting a marriage licence in Mississauga?

In Ontario, before you get married you need a Marriage Licence. The licence is valid for three months (89 days) from the date of issue.

You are required to complete an application form, signed by both you and your partner to get the licence.

You must apply for your Marriage Licence in-person at the Clerk’s Office located at the Mississauga Civic Centre, 2nd Floor, 300 City Centre Dr. [Map]

In addition to the application form, both you and your partner must bring two pieces of original government-issued identification. If only one of you can attend in-person, remember to bring the proper original documents for both applicants.

The cost of a Marriage Licence in the City of Mississauga is $140 and you can pay by cash, debit or credit card. This fee is non-refundable and due at the time you apply.

The Clerk’s Office will issue the marriage licence while you wait as long as all your documents are in order.
