Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How do I book a city park?
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”
We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about booking city parks.
I have a family gathering coming up, how do I book a city park for our picnic?
If you’re a resident or business in Mississauga, there are two options available to book a picnic site:
1. By phone at 905-615-4100
2. In person at the Recreation Customer Service Centre, located at 301 Burnhamthorpe Rd W in the Central Library.
3. Complete a rental request form online at: forms.mississauga.ca/facilityrental
Our staff will ask you what day and time you’d like to reserve the park and confirm the cost of your booking. You must pay the fee in full to confirm your booking. If you’re booking over the phone, you can only pay by credit card. If you book in person, you can pay with cash, cheque, credit or debit. Cheques are only accepted with more than 14 days between the time of booking and the event.
Fees depend on the space you are booking and how long your event will last. There may be additional fees if you book a space with a picnic table or accessible seating.
If you have more than 25 people, you will need to apply for a park permit.
