Clarkson Toastmasters Club Open For Business in South Mississauga
The Toastmasters program has stood the test of time and was first developed in 1924. Since then, we have grown to 352,000 memberships worldwide. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 16,400 clubs in 141 countries that make up our global network of meeting locations. One key part of Toastmasters is that we are a non-profit organization, completely committed to helping individuals develop their communication, leadership and public speaking skills. Consequently, this helps individuals increase their self-confidence in professional and personal settings.
The program was completely revamped in 2017 and is now web based. Pathways is an exciting, flexible and interactive way to develop your skills and help others in your club develop theirs. Pathways helps you learn communication and leadership skills that you need to succeed. It gives you:
· The opportunity to build up to 300 unique competencies
· 10 specialized learning paths to choose from
· Online content, so that you can learn anytime, anywhere
· Real-world, transferable skills
As of May 2018, a group of individuals in the Clarkson Community took the lead in establishing a new club, namely, Clarkson Toastmasters Club. If you are between the ages of 18 to 100+, we can help you gain skills and confidence with our time-tested program. Each week we offer a structured and quality program all in a fun and friendly environment. The camaraderie and networking is second to none because your membership opens up a world of connections to over 350,000 people in a professional or personal context.
