Oliver's Ale House, on the verge of celebrating their fourth anniversary this September, is truly a hidden gem located near Tomken and Britannia that boats a selection of 140 craft beers, fresh, delicious menu items created by a chef with nearly five decades of experience and an enjoyable atmosphere.
We spoke with owner Marianne Rhody to learn more about Oliver's, the restaurant named after her son.
Signature Food Items
There's not one signature food item, says owner Marianne Rhody. It'll depend on what you feel like that day based on their high quality, fresh menu items. Whether it's a mouthwatering steak, roasted chicken wings, a bison or beef burger, or something else from their menu.
Their namesake is the "Oliver's Favourite Burger" which sees an 8 oz. Angus burger topped with maple candied bacon, jalapeño, smoked Gouda, port glazed onions.
Signature Drink Items
With 140 Craft beer available, there really is something for every taste. Additionally, they've got a wonderful wine selection if grapes are more of your style.
Also, Marianne’s Caesar is wildly popular and features a 32 ingredient rim!
They also have a top of the line Espresso machine that'll make one of, if not the, best cup of espresso you've had.

Chef's background
Chef DL, with nearly five decades of experience is primarily self-taught and is a seasoned chef, having owned multiple restaurants throughout his career. From Greek steakhouses to fine dining and many in between, Chef DL's quality of craftsmanship has always been high. In addition to being the mastermind behind Oliver's savoury menu items, he's also a sommelier and is formally trained in wine and spirits, so he can give you a perfect pairing for anything on the menu.
