6 Fun Fall Activities
It’s that time of year again. Sweater weather in the morning, and stinking hot again in the afternoon. That’s right. It’s fall! Everyone is back to school, but everyone also wants to take advantage of the small window of time we get where the weather is actually enjoyable! So to help you out, I’ve put together a list of 6 things to do outdoors in the fall!
Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland
It’s perfect for a date, it’s perfect for a group of friends, really it’s just the perfect fall activity! Running all of October, Halloween Haunt is a great nighttime adventure. Realistic ghouls and goblins lurk around the park at night, just waiting to give you the fright of your life. With all sorts of mazes and creepy creatures wandering around, you definitely won’t be bored!
Downey’s Farm in Caledon
With hundreds, if not thousands of pumpkins to choose from, this little farm is a perfect activity for that cool fall day. Along with other fun activities like corn mazes and mini golf, there is a little farmer’s market there too, so you can grab some fresh tarts, wine, or treats while you’re there and spend a whole day making some lovely fall memories!
Hiking in Muskoka
Pick a trail (there are many) and plan a day trip for exploring. It’s beautiful during the summer, but the trees come alight with colour in the fall! You will not be disappointed and it’ll make for a great adventure on a brisk fall day. Pack some snacks and some hot chocolate or apple cider and you’ll be ready to brave the great Canadian north!
Apple picking at the Dixie Orchards
The same sort of idea of Downey’s Farm, this orchard is perfect for a fall day. You can take your sweetheart on a cute day-date, or just go with a bunch of friends and enjoy the crisp apples, the sweet cider, and the fantastic pies! Definitely one to check off of the fall bucket list, that’s for sure!
Niagara Ghost Walks
Pretty self explanatory, this is a tour of the most haunted places of Niagara Falls. Lantern lit and filled with ghost stories, this tor gives you the option to end the night in a haunted room, while attempting to communicate with the spirits that haunt the place! So spooky, and the perfect date to take your significant other! The tours run Wednesday through Saturday at 8:30 pm.
Fall Fairs
There are fairs all around the GTA in the fall. Check them out! All usually have slightly different things to offer. Try some carnival treats, go on some midway rides, laugh the night away playing some games or enjoy some demolition derbies! Whatever floats your boat, you can probably find at the fall fair! Fun for all ages, you can never go wrong kicking off the wonderful season of fall with a fall fair!
