The Mississauga Symphony hosts their first "open rehearsal" and everyone's invited!

Are you curious about what it takes to prepare a 90 person orchestra for a flawless performance of incredible symphonic works?
On Tuesday, November 12, the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra ( MSO) will open the doors to Hammerson Hall for a behind the scenes look at a working rehearsal! This free, all-ages event is open to all members of the public, and will be a fantastic opportunity to experience how pieces of music are polished by Maestro Denis Mastromonaco and the musicians of the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra. Watch and listen as the MSO rehearse soul-stirring works by Antonin Dvořák, Sergei Rachmaninoff and George Enescu, all of which will be performed as a part of Symphonic Dances, the next concert in their 2019/20 season. Seating will be determined on a first come, first served basis. Doors will open at 7:15pm. Rehearsal will begin at 7:30pm. Complimentary underground parking will be provided by the Living Arts Centre.

The MSO is designated as one of Mississauga’s six pillars of arts, culture and heritage. The orchestra offers entertaining and increasingly sophisticated programs from the classic and popular repertoires of symphonic music, all performed to the highest artistic standards. The MSO provides performance opportunities and personal development to talented amateurs while assisting young professional performers and composers through solo performance opportunities, commissions and mentoring.

One of the largest theatres in the GTA, Hammerson Hall is suited to host a rich and diverse spectrum of events. Situated in the heart of the Living Arts Centre, this world-class theatre welcomes major touring productions, community performances, and film shoots. With seating for up to 1,315 guests, the stunning theatre delights performers and audiences alike.
