Learn about Mississauga's Light Up The Square event
The best thing about traditions is that they can start anytime. Holiday and seasonal customs are no exception.
Some families string lights after the jack-o-lantern candles are blown out on October 31st while others sip hot chocolate and decorate the branches of their trees on Christmas Eve. Whatever the activity, there’s always room for one more.
Light Up the Square is a City tradition where all are welcome. Celebrated on November 23rd, it sits smack dab in the middle of pumpkins and tinsel and the fun doesn’t start or stop with the magical twinkling of lights.
Skaters are welcome to the official opening day skate at the City’s largest outdoor rink. From amateurs to pros, this rink opens to all during Light Up the Square – weather permitting, of course.
