Mississauga to Participate in the JUNO Award’s Host Music City Exchange

Mississauga has been selected to participate in the Host City Music Exchange in anticipation of the 2019 JUNOS held this March in London, Ontario.

The music exchange will see London talent travel to Mississauga, Kitchener and Windsor to participate in a range of exciting events. London will open its door and welcome artists from Mississauga, Kitchener and Windsor to perform at a JUNOS London 2019 Host Committee event during JUNO Week.

Mississauga’s own Arlene Paculan and No Big Deal will join forces with London musicians to perform a free concert on February 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the newly-opened Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB), a historic, multi-purpose building that acts as a cultural hub in Mississauga, presenting a wide range of arts and culture programs.

London artists will also visit with local students at Munden Public School.

The Music City Exchange is presented by the 2019 JUNO Host Committee in partnership with the London Music Office, Music Ontario and Ontario Creates.

The JUNO Awards have evolved from an industry awards event to a week-long festival that travels from city to city across the country. Through public-facing fan events and industry and networking opportunities, the awards feature a diverse array of Canadian artists and emerging talent. The JUNO Week events include JUNO Songwriters’ Circle, JUNOfest, JUNO Fan Fare, JUNO Cup, and more.
