Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How do I report a dead tree on my boulevard?
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question relates to how to make the best use of City’s Pingstreet app.
How do I report a dead tree on my boulevard?
You can report a damaged tree on your boulevard by calling 3-1-1 or using Pingstreet. Pingstreet is a free mobile app that lets you report a problem or get real-time information from the City of Mississauga – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Using a smartphone or tablet, Pingstreet allows you to report a problem on 28 different City service areas, including reporting dead/unhealthy trees on City property, reporting pot holes or graffiti and garbage or debris on roads.
Here’s an example of how to use Pingstreet to report a dead or damaged tree:
· Download the Pingstreet app on your smartphone or tablet through the App Store, Google Play and BlackBerry World.
· Open the app and input your current location.
· Click “Report” at the top left corner of the app – from here the options will appear.
· Select “damaged tree on City property”
· From here you have the option to take or upload a picture or not use a picture.
· You will then be prompted to enter the address of the damaged tree.
· Click submit.
Through the app, you can also access City news, meetings and events, the City’s Twitter feed, Mayor and Council contact information, waste collection schedules, interactive maps, request a temporary parking permit and much more. For a complete list of app features, visit mississauga.ca/pingstreet
