Small Business Profile - Mississauga's Dingbat Design
In conversation with Mississauga entrepreneur, Aleksandra Grzywaczewska.
1. What exactly does your business do?
Dingbat Design is a multi-disciplinary graphic design company that works on everything from branding, logo design, events, signage, websites, marketing, editorial design, publications, art directions, wayfinding to exhibition design.
2. What inspired you to start your business?
I have always loved art, drawing letters and creating, and I've turned that love into an expert service for anyone needing help with their branding or event.
3. How has your business adapted to the new world?
Everything is done remotely, from discussing initial needs, to presenting concepts and approvals. Luckily, most of us have the technology to do that.
4. What are you most proud of from a business perspective?
I have helped clients big and small with all their design needs, and won many awards while doing it. There is something very fulfilling about knowing your client is succeeding with their product/service because I've helped them create a visually distinct brand.
5. What's been the largest obstacle to overcome and how did you do it?
This pandemic has been a very difficult obstacle. There are fewer events, weddings, and business start-ups that require help, but slowly things are starting to pick up.
6. What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs?
Figure out what you're good at and go for it.
7. What message do you have for our community as we continue to navigate the global pandemic?
This is all temporary. Be safe, wear a mask.
