Mississauga Rotary Ribfest is comprised of both the Mississauga & Mississauga West Clubs.  Due to the success of this year’s Ribfest, we are pleased that we are able to donate $15,000.00 to Trillium Health Partners Foundation.

The 17th annual Amacon Mississauga Rotary Ribfest in the new Drive Thru format was held on October 17 and 18 in the parking lot of the Erin Mills Town Centre. This was an incredibly successful event with close to 4000 vehicles supporting the event. Though we all missed the diverse display of food and live entertainment, 4 of the city’s favourite ribbers participated to bring finger licking ribs, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, and sausages.  In addition, all enjoyed the ever so yummy Ontario Corn Roasters and Tiny Tom’s donuts which added to the excitement.

Lucie Shaw, this year’s Event Chair stated, “Fundraising for our community has been a challenge due to COVID19.  Rotary’s heart is in helping/supporting organizations in need.  I’m thrilled and proud of our Ribfest committee, that we were able to “pivot” and host the Mississauga Rotary 1st Drive Thru’ Ribfest.  The overwhelming support from so many made this event possible and successful.  A heartfelt thanks to our food vendors, Erin Mills Town centre, our sponsors and a special thanks to our continuing title sponsor Amacon.” 

Sponsors play an important role in the success of all Rotary events and have helped the Rotary Clubs of Mississauga and Mississauga West raise money for charitable causes, including important organizations like Trillium Health Partners and The Compass Food Bank. Since the beginning of Ribfest, Rotary has donated over $1.6 million to charitable causes in Mississauga.  We gratefully acknowledge Access Storage, Erin Mills Town Centre and Erinwood Ford as contributing sponsors to this year’s Drive Thru Ribfest.

As a volunteer run event that serves the community, we thank all those who help every year. Without our volunteers we could not make this happen.
