Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - Are there any local study spots that students can take advantage of during reading week?
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about study spots in Mississauga.
Are there any local study spots that students can take advantage of during reading week?
Yes! The City of Mississauga has the perfect blend of study spots to read, participate in group study and of course, enjoy some time outside of the classroom.
Library
Mississauga’s libraries have lots of spaces for quiet, not-so-quiet, individual and group study. Availability varies based on location. Rooms can be booked in person or by calling your local library. Free Wi-Fi is also available at all branches.
Small Arms Inspection Building
Looking for a unique space to stimulate your creative thinking? The Small Arms Inspection Building is a historic, multi-purpose building that is perfect for studying and study groups. The shared space is free, has free Wi-Fi and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Check online for exception dates or closures. The venue also has free onsite parking and is accessible by MiWay’s Route 23 Lakeshore bus.
C Café
If you’re an early bird and study best with some background noise, check out C Café. Offering great food, fresh coffee and active breaks – take advantage of the Celebration Square ice rink right outside and go for a skate during your study break. Skate rental is available onsite.
