Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How can I stay protected in reopened public spaces?
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about how to stay protected in reopened public spaces.
How can I stay protected in reopened public spaces?
As restrictions start to lift and more public spaces reopen, it’s only natural that you want to get out and enjoy the outdoors and other public spaces, however, it’s important to continue to take preventative actions to protect yourself and others from transmitting COVID-19. These include:
· Practicing physical distancing of 2 metres from others and when this is difficult to maintain such as on public transit or in a grocery store, wear a face covering or non-medical mask
· If you need to go out to shop, try to limit the transfer of cash and use contactless payment whenever possible
· Wash your hands regularly with soap and water
· Stay at home if you are feeling ill
Taking these practical measures while taking part in the reopening of public spaces, will help us overcome this pandemic and keep our communities safe and healthy.
