World famous Farzi Café opens in Mississauga's Square One Food District

The wondrous flavours of India has arrived in North America. Indian Fusion best describes Farzi Café giving diners a sensory gourmet experience by amalgamating traditional global and Indian classics, with Indian influences, contemporary presentations and culinary styles in a high energy ambiance. The menu comprises a unique combination of Ayurvedic flavours and global influences with Canadian ingredients.
Director of Farzi Café Canada, Ishmeet Kalra, a family relative of owner Zorawar Kalra, was tasked to find the best place to open its first Farzi Café in North America. Working with franchisee Jesleen and her husband Kohli, they scoured the GTA area and decided on Mississauga Square One Shopping Centre. “The location of this upscale shopping centre is central to the biggest Middle Eastern society in North America, is easily accessible by car and offers free parking, explained Kohli.”
Beverage Manager, Din Jusuf, an award-winning London mixologist, said the unique cocktail menu uses astrological zodiac signs as its inspiration, focusing on taste, essence and looks presented in bespoke glassware. Using scientific, homogenous infusions clarifies the cocktail with their flavours extracted from fresh fruit, tinctures, herbs and spices making each cocktail beautifully balanced. Engji, a self-described science nerd, who spent many hours in a London lab developing each cocktail using chemistry, biology and fermentation was on hand teaching the staff all the techniques.
Farzi Café, a whimsical café with a modern twist serving modern Indian tapas-style food and ultrasonic cocktail is now open at the Food District on the North West side of Mississauga’s Square One Shopping Centre.
New York City will be the next North American location with plans to expand across Canada and the US. for itself.
