Here’s an informative Q & A regarding this exciting community event with Shannon Baldwin, creator and founder:
1. Who are some of the vendors that will be present?
Joughnut Doughnuts, 30SixPaws Animal Rescue, Sudsatorium, Power Over Plastic, Kitties & Cabernet, Gemaro Bakery, ChezHeather, Sausage Party / Jo Jo Berries, Oat & Mill, Leafii
2. What prompted the creation of this event?
We missed the people and we wanted to help out local small business owners who have taken a real hit to their livelihoods with the pandemic. With the upcoming holidays it made sense to connect our community to wonderful businesses to try and shop local as much as possible.
3. What can visitors expect?
Visitors can expect 30+ local vendors offering cruelty free treats, eats and items perfect for gift giving or to spoil themselves with.
4. Is it family friendly?
Yes always.
5. Why the Small Arms building?
I mean have you seen that building?
It is gorgeous! the wall-to-wall industrial glass windows encompassed with bricks that could tell stories. I have always loved the vintage vibe of SAIB and we've always wanted to do any event there. Plus Lakeview is a hidden gem and deserves more visits.
6. What are the realistic chances of your 2022 Vegfest happening?
The golden question. We do have a tentative date booked (secret) but with the Port Credit Memorial Arena becoming the temporary home to our beautiful Port Credit Library we would need to find a new home but how do you leave Port Credit?
