SAWITRI Theatre Group presents 2021 Hindi Shorts Theatre Festival from December 2 to 5 at Mississauga's Maja Prentice Theatre
Hindi Shorts, which is now the 2021 Hindi Shorts Theatre Festival, is back for the 4 th consecutiveyear. This year it is in-person! The Festival presents six plays written by Abhimanyu Acharya,
Tanuj Khosla, Anubha Jha & Meena Menezas. Directed by some established and emerging artists the plays feature a talented cast from Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto.
From December 2nd to 5th, 5 performances will take place at Mississauga’s Maja Prentice Theatre.
The Creative Team of The 2021 Hindi Shorts Theatre Festival consist of - Shruti Shah, who is the Artistic Co- Director of SAWITRI and Christina Collins who has worked with SAWITRI since 2012, along with emerging directors, Amlan Das, Anubha Jha and Ashutosh Walia, and Assistant Directors Sweta Surisetti and Devansh Shah; narrator Dhruva Diwedi, lighting design Sid Sawant, Music Deepak Chakravarty, Costumes Shruti Shah, Make up Akhila Jog, streaming and technical director Nitin Sawant and Stage manager Yuvraj . The production consists of 15 actors; some of whom take on multiple roles. Many of these talented emerging actors are new generation and newcomers to Canada.
