Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How do I report that a street or traffic light that is out?
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about reporting street and traffic lights that are down.
How do I report that a street or traffic light that is out?
Traffic lights are in place to help keep traffic on Mississauga roads moving as smoothly and safely as possible. To report a malfunctioning traffic light or any other signal timing inquiries you witness, contact 311 or through the City’s Pingstreet app. You’ll be asked to provide the intersection location of the malfunctioning light.
The City also operates street lights on both city and regional roads, however, Alectra maintains these street lights. To report street lights that are not working, damaged or blocked by trees, call Alectra at 905-566-2718. More information can also be found at alectrautilities.com/report-streetlight-out?parent=9.
