Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - Where can I go to view art in Mississauga?
Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about public art in Mississauga.
Where can I go to view art in Mississauga?
Since 2010, the City of Mississauga’s Public Art Collection has grown to 20 permanent public art pieces and includes ongoing temporary art. Public art helps to develop a unique sense of place and create a beautiful and thought-provoking environment that ultimately helps to enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors.
The City’s Public Art Master Plan provides the design and curatorial guidelines to plan, acquire, and maintain public art for residents and visitors.
You can use this interactive map to see where you can visit all of the public art in Mississauga, both permanent and temporary or use this self-guided Public Art Tour map.
From now, until March 21st, you can also view Walks of Art. This is a campaign that promotes self-guided tours, scavenger hunts, and fun games and challenges for all ages at Celebration Square, the Living Arts Centre, and Bradley Museum.
