St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser in benefit of Peel Crime Stoppers raises over $10,000
This past St.Patrick’s Day, the community raised more than $10,000 at the inaugural St. Patrick’s Day Ceilidh at Stonehooker Brewing Company in benefit of Peel Crime Stoppers. This initiative was a collaboration between local entrepreneurs, first responders, community stakeholders, and concerned citizens.
Senior leadership from Peel Regional Police (Deputy-Chief, Marc Andrew) and Peel Regional Paramedic Services (Deputy-Chief, Brian Gibson) delivered remarks about the partnership between Peel Crime Stoppers and First Responders. Local elected officials including Ontario Government (Mississauga-Lakeshore MPP, Rudy Cuzzetto) and City of Mississauga (Ward 1 Councillor, Stephen Dasko) commented on the importance of the Peel Crime Stoppers program in the community.
Mississauga Board Of Trade (President & CEO, Trevor McPherson), Tourism Mississauga (Board Member, Louie Manzo), and television personality and local Mississauga resident (Celebrity Chef, Massimo Capra) were in attendance to raise awareness of the Peel Crime Stoppers program and help build resilience with the local businesses.
The event was sold out in only three days via the Stonehooker Brewing Company website, setting a record for the brewery. The ticket price included traditional Irish Stew and Corn Bread + a pint of Stonehooker brew + authentic Celtic Musical and Dance performances by local artists “East Of Here".
