Enchanting Arias and a dazzling cast featured in the Best Of MSO Opera

On Saturday, April 30, Maestro Denis Mastromonaco and the Mississauga Symphony Orchestra will return to the Living Arts Centre with an enchanting evening of popular arias from Carmen, La Bohème, and La Traviata. Joining the orchestra will be a dazzling cast of singers that includes mezzo-soprano Julie Nesrallah, soprano Cristina Pisani, tenor Romulo Delgado, ‍and baritone Christopher Dunham. Ticket prices range from $40 - $65 and can be purchased by visiting mississaugasymphony.ca. Socially distanced seating options are available. Leading the star studded cast of past performers from each of the MSO’s fully-staged productions of Carmen, La Bohème, and La Traviata is Julie Nesrallah, a world class mezzo-soprano and host of CBC’s Tempo. Julie performs for leading opera companies, symphonies, festivals and chamber music ensembles across Canada and around the world. In July 2011, Miss Nesrallah sang God Save the Queen for “Will and Kate”, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, for Canada Day festivities on Parliament Hill in a performance that was viewed by millions. Julie also sang for “An Evening for Peace” for Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan in Montreal. Miss Nesrallah has been the recipient of several distinguished awards including the Canada Council for the Arts Emerging Artist Award & Mid-Career Grant, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for her cultural contribution to Canada’s performing arts. Julie is also the executive producer and star of Carmen on Tap which performs Georges Bizet’s Carmen as dinner theatre.
