The 2023 Puppet Festival Mississauga presents award-winning shows from around the world
Puppet Festival Mississauga (formerly Bridges Festival) is delighted to present their fourth annual show happening this March!
Highlights include:

puppet show Choo. Choo. Whistle. Woof! from Czech Republic
puppet show Happy Prince from Mexico

juried selection of short animated films from 11 countries around the world
industry panels
and meetups of puppeteers
Events will take place between March 8 and 15, 2023 at several locations across Mississauga.

About the Festival
Puppet Festival Mississauga has been delighting families for the past four years, since opening before the pandemic in 2020. After three years of hybrid and digital festivals, the festival is proud to present in-person live events, for audiences across the city of Mississauga and beyond. Each year the festival presents a line up of puppet shows from across Canada as well as international artists.
About Crane Creations Theatre Company
Crane Creations is an immigrant founded, women and youth led professional theatre company based in Mississauga. The company was founded in 2015, and is one of the fastest growing theatre companies in Canada: this year the company was awarded operational funding by Ontario Arts Council in addition to operational funding from Mississauga Culture and Multiyear support from Canada Arts Presentation Fund (Department of Canadian Heritage). The company employs more than 20 artists annually and since 2023 operates a 200 seat proscenium venue.
The company’s role in the region of Peel is instrumental in creating artist jobs, preventing artist flight to Toronto and developing artistic community in the region which has the lowest number of artists per capita in Canada.
The company is a member of PACT - Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, Festivals and Events Ontario and Ontario Puppetry Association.
