Founded in 2006, Rock The Coliseum (RTC) is Mississauga’s longest running, all-ages, free indie music festival! Pretty cool stuff and it further strengthens Mississauga as an award-winning music city!
Produced by Canadian Community Arts Initiative, RTC is a not-for-profit organization based in Ontario. RTC is a celebration of everything positive about the local music community & supports all genres of independent Canadian music.

We’ve got six sweet reasons why you should attend this fantastic festival this year!

1. 2023 is the 18th year for the longest running indie music festival in Mississauga
The longevity of this indie music festival is impressive and supports our local artists. Come out and support local and live music in a cool outdoor venue in the heart of the city.

2. Day 1 is hip hop, including Fame Holiday, Rich Kidd, Dstny & more
The diversity that’s evolved with RTC shows that we’re a melting pot for music and culture. On Friday, August 4th, Rock The Coliseum features talented hip hop artists.

3. Day 2 is rock, including international touring bands like SUMO CYCO & Softcult
When you attend day 2, you’ll get to see impressive rock acts, some of which have toured internationally!

4. It’s free
Keeping live music accessible is a major key to grow Mississauga’s thriving music scene. Add in a central outdoor venue at Celebration Square and all you have to do is get there.

5. It’s all-ages
Further to the accessibility point, having RTC be an all-ages event lets the younger generation experience live performances from amazing artists.
A quick touch on safety for younger attendees; please bring earplugs as hearing safety is oh-so important.

6. Rock The Coliseum has helped create major artists
Historically RTC has always featured talent that went on to be huge…you never know which future superstar you’ll get to see up close this weekend.
