Learn About the First 2024 Mississauga Mayoral Debate Happening Friday, May 3
Mississauga’s most impactful mayoral race in decades is happening this June 10th, 2024 and we’re in full swing for campaign season.
With that, the first mayoral debate is happening on Friday, May 3rd and being hosted by the newly formed Meadowvale Business Association (MBA.)
We’ve reached out to the MBA to learn more and here’s the information provided at the time of publishing.
The names of participants will be updated once they’re made available to Modern Mississauga Media.
What time is the Mississauga mayoral happening?
Registration starts at 6:30 and the debate takes place from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Which mayoral candidates will be participating?
All candidates have been invited to participate.
As of publishing, 10 candidates will be participating, including the top polling ones.
What is the structure of the debate and who is creating the questions?
Each candidate gets a three minutes intro, one minute for each question and two minutes for their closing statements.
How many people will be able to attend?

Who is moderating the debate?
Ryan Gurcharn
Will the public/attendees be able to ask questions?
Yes. Questions from the public will be collected upon entry and vetted for duplication and authenticity. Timing will dictate the number of public questions asked.
The moderator will also be creating and asking questions.
Where is the Mississauga mayoral debate happening?
Rama Gaming House, located at 2295 Battleford Rd. This fully accessible venue offers free parking and during the debate, drinks and food will be available for purchase.
