Modern Dining: Mondello Ristorante

Modern Dining:  Mondello Ristorante

In the quaint Village of Streetsville is where you’ll find one of the city’s best Italian restaurants, Mondello Ristorante. In the top 10 restaurants in Mississauga via Trip Advisor out of over 1,300 options, it’s clear that they’re doing something consistently right.
We sat down with Co-Owner and General Manager Jessica Spiteri to learn more about this beautiful restaurant that’s been around since May of 2008 and has no signs of slowing down.

Signature food & drink items
It’s hard to pick your favourite child, so to speak. Mondello is known for their impeccable pastas, savoury seafood along with their prodigious pizzas. With all menu items being authentic and creative, you simply can’t pick only one. My vote? The Wild Cheese Tortellini, hands down, forks up.

Drink wise, Jessica says the “Latin Fever” is always a popular item, consisting of blue curacao, Malibu rum, lemon juice, grapefruit juice and pineapple juice.

Type of clientele
There’s a wide array of guests from business clients entertaining their clients, to a mature crowd and even down to a younger, millennial-esque crowd and really, everyone in between.
She shared a personal story with me during the interview where a young, teenaged couple came in for dinner recently (perhaps 13-15 years old) and they were dressed to the nines and the boy was a perfect gentlemen throughout the night. Hats off to that lovely boys parents!
