The Curvy Expo is coming to Mississauga

When we asked Meghan Bradley, Director of Curvy Expo, to explain what it's all about, she told us about her frustration with what it is like to walk into a mall and only find a handful of stores that carry clothes in her size, which is a size 16.
Her visit to a mall will result in her finding only one or two items in some of the stores and leaving her looking at shoes and accessories. Very few malls have more than one store that is dedicated to plus sizes.

“I had a dream,” Meghan said. “I wanted to create an environment that was dedicated to all the curvy women wearing size 12+.” She explained that she wanted the feeling of walking into a mall where you could shop and see fashions in all sizes.
“At Curvy Expo, every booth you visit and everyone you meet understands what it is to be curvy.”
Curvy Expo’s fashion shows are going to feature over 60 spring fashion looks from retailers Addition Elle, Penningtons, Toni Plus and Callista Bridal. Top fashion stylist Lynn Spence will be at the show talking about the latest spring trends.
So, did Meghan fulfill her dream? Well, at least for one day, she will.

On Saturday, May 14, 2016, this one-day show is bringing the curvy community together. This event will be at the International Centre, Entrance 4. Bradley says it will be a day of fun, shopping, fashion shows, bloggers, contests and seminars.
