"The Living Arts Centre's "In Production" exhibit showcases resident artists that are thinkers and makers, both designers and labourers, driven by the desire to work with their hands and yearning for sustained creative engagement."
How's that for an opening line, courtesy of the folks over at LAC.

The exhibit is small yet mighty, illustrating a wide variety of art pieces from ceramics, glass, jewellery, painting & drawing, photography, textiles, sculpture, video and wood.

This collection, framed by, in our opinion, the "Fox" drawing by Fabio Merker is a great way to experience the artistic expertise of these wonderful artists.

The Living Arts website says, quite succinctly:

"Residents celebrate the act of making and the momentum garnered through the process. Works featured discuss contemporary craft, the political, social and economic impact of handmade vs. mass produced culture and remind viewers of the true value of the maker’s hand." - In Production webpage

The exhibit runs until April 10th so there's still time to experience the work of these talented artists through "In Production."

Resident Artists include: Matthew Agostinis, Claire Anderson, Andrew Beauchamp, Michelle Bosveld, Tommy Cudmore, Katrina Ennamorato, Alyssa Getz, Noelle Hamlyn, Catherine Hibbits, Vanessa Jackson, Jolanta Jung, Olga Klosowski, Kelly Lowe, Ian MacInnis, Aidan Mayner, Fabio Merker, Gular Mustafa, Heidi Schell, Margaret Stawicki, Ishrat Raza Suhrwardy, Tamara Thompson, Julie Vetro and Gabriela Wilson.
