On Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 11 am to 7 pm at Mississauga's International Centre, families will come together to celebrate Family Jingle & Mingle, an annual shared Christmas celebration for the whole family to enjoy including shopping, entertainment, and family fun all under one roof!
Every year, Family Jingle & Mingle donates proceeds to a children’s charity and this year they will support Breakfast With Santa Foundation – a charity that is fighting childhood hunger by offering nutritional solutions and life skills programming. The event is expecting to merrily welcome over 4000 guests throughout the GTA.
The first 200 families will receive a free gift bag filled with goodies!
Here's all the great things you'll experience once you're in the door:
There will be exhilarating entertainment including a children’s entertainer, a magician, animal show, a kids rock band, and an Elvis Tribute superstar. Guests will even be surprised with a flash mob! Our Master of Ceremonies is Comedienne Extraordinaire, Pamela Appel. The toddler play area is equipped with age appropriate toys for the little kiddies and they can enjoy some bouncy castles also. Kids can participate in three fun free workshops including a ‘make it and take it’ craft area, cookie decorating and how to draw your own comic book characters!
Live animals are back for families to meet and learn about. Superheroes and other characters will be interacting with guests. Photo opportunities are available. New this year: Immerse yourself in virtual reality! Adults can prepare to be transported into a world of dinosaurs and children will work with robots that have taken over our jobs. Great fun for all ages!
For a very small additional charge, there is a wide arrangement of inflatables for all ages including an obstacle course on the ground – also suitable for anyone requiring accessibility. Santa will be ready to meet all children for a photograph.
All children that take a picture with Santa will receive a present! Some highlights in the silent auction include a $500 travel voucher with ViaRail, a $500 Virtual Reality gift certificate, Dr. Dre headphones, sports items, gift cards, toys and more! All perfect gift ideas for Christmas, while supporting a worthwhile cause. There will be many vendors with a diversified arrangement of Christmas gift ideas.
Free giftwrapping is available on all purchase made at Family Jingle & Mingle.
Tickets are free for children 2 and under. Kids 3-17 are $7 in advance and $9 at the door. Adults are $11 in advance and $13 at the door. A family pack of 4 is also available for $32 in advance and $40 at the door.
Show organizer, Gabriella Mammone believes in the need for family inclusiveness to build stronger connections. “Including families in a festive event fosters new relationships outside of the work environment and provides the opportunity to connect, shop and have fun. This is a great event for entrepreneurs that want to go to a Christmas party or for organizations that want to share their event with other organizations. We also have birthday parties and family Christmas gatherings come to the event”, says Mammone. Family Jingle & Mingle is open to the public and all are welcome. Parking is free at the International Centre and the facility is fully accessible.
