6 Terrific One Tank Trips to experience
/Here at Modern Mississauga, we all love a great road trip and with the warmer weather upon us, we’re happy to share six of our must-do One Tank Trips with you.
Hamilton
A short jaunt westbound on the QEW brings you to The Waterfall Capital of the World, with over 100 to pick from. Their art and food scene is bustling and there’s plenty of excitement to be experienced. Museums, parks, conservations areas, the HMCS Haida National Historic Site and several other attractions are great reasons to visit good ol’ Steel town.
Ellicottville
Head south on US 219 from the border and you’ll find yourself in charming Ellicottville, NY. A year round attraction, Holiday Valley resort has plenty to do from golf to swimming. Walk down their beautiful main strip for quaint shops and restaurants and soak in their small town charm.
Prince Edward County
Two hours east on the 401 will land you in picturesque Prince Edward County, the home of beautiful views, trails, wine routes, art and much more. You can make it a day trip or spend a few days here enjoying this island community boasting fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere.
Collingwood
A popular destination, there’s still plenty to do for a variety of interests. There’s boat tours, a ton of food and drink options (including cool breweries!) along with hiking/biking routes and a breathtaking open-air gondola ride. A short hop north on the 400 and west on 26 will land you in a world of food, fun, entertainment and adventure.
Tobermory
At the Bruce Peninsula’s peak is where you’ll discover beautiful Tobermory. It’s home to Flowerpot Island, two national parks, the Bruce Trail, two Baker’s Dozen shipwrecks, kayaking/canoeing adventures and much more. Enjoy goods from local merchants and clear space on your phone/camera as it’s a photographers haven.
Niagara-on-the-Lake
One of the prettiest places in Ontario, there’s an abundance of wonderful wineries 115 km east of here.
Mix in plenty of charisma, a memorable main street, plenty of food tours, arts and entertainment and of course, the views and you’ve got one of our favourite travel spots.
