Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How often are the sidewalks in my neighbourhood inspected?
/Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”
We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question comes from a resident who is curious about how sidewalks are maintained.
How often are the sidewalks in my neighbourhood inspected?
Inspections are conducted annually in Mississauga to ensure sidewalks are in a state of good repair. Results of these inspections are sent back to the City for scheduled maintenance. You may notice City staff marking sidewalks as a part of this process.
You can report a damaged sidewalk at any time online or by calling 3-1-1 (905-615-4311 outside City limits).
An inspection will be completed within three business days and City staff will ensure the area is made safe.
If you’ve got a question about the City, we want to hear from you!
