Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - What can I do if I see a car idling for more than 3 minutes?
/Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”
We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about idling.
I recently moved into a condo building and constantly see people idling in front of the entrance when waiting to pick people up – is there anything I can do about this?
The City’s Idling Control By-Law states that “no person shall cause, allow or permit a vehicle to idle continuously for more than three minutes.”
Residents can call 3-1-1 or email public.info@mississauga.ca with their concerns and an area officer will monitor the condo building and take appropriate action.
All reports received are anonymous.
