With everyone feeling the effects of the global pandemic, Mississauga’s Obsidian Group (parent company of Chuck’s Roadhouse Bar and Grill®) has generously given back to our crucial frontline workers.
The initiative was done in two parts; Feed Peel Frontline and Feed Ontario Frontline.

Feed Peel Frontline  - We put together this campaign to show our support and appreciation for the hard working frontline workers within the region, including police officers, fire fighters, nurses, doctors, long-term care facility employees, etc. by providing them with a $20 Gift Certificate valid at any Chuck’s Roadhouse location.  These were sent out the first week of May 2020.

Feed Ontario Frontline - The purpose behind this campaign is to further extend and show our appreciation to the hard working OPP staff with a $20 Gift Certificate.

Sure, it’s generous to donate gift cards but what makes this act of generosity so monumental is the sheer volume.

The Feed Peel arm saw 30,000 gift cards be donated. Multiply that by $20 each and it’s a staggering $600,000 worth.
Recipients included:

Peel Regional Police Association, Peel Paramedics Union, Mississauga Fire Fighters Association, Brampton Fire Fighters Association, Caledon Fire Fighters Association, ATU Local 1572 (Mississauga Transit), ATU Local 1573 (Brampton Transit), Trillium Health Partners, William Osler Health System, Royal Canadian Legion (11 branches)

The Feed Ontario arm saw 9,500 gift cards donated at $20 each for a total of $190,000.
The recipient here was OPPA (An organization that works on behalf of Members of the Ontario Provincial Police)

Combined, it’s nearly one million dollars’ worth that Chuck’s Roadhouse has given to help our crucial front line workers.

It was a quick and easy decision amongst the leadership team to create and move forward on this ambitious idea.

At the time of publishing (November 3rd, 2020) indoor dining is not permitted, however patio dining is, which you can enjoy on a heated patio at the newest Chuck’s Roadhouse opening soon in Heartland.
The team has taken every precaution to ensure a safe, reassuring and pleasant dining experience from contact tracing forms, clear signage on the walls and floors, sanitization of touched surfaces, plus a no-touch menu option via a QR code placed directly on the table.

Our new world is evolving daily, if not hourly, and seeing generosity from Mississauga businesses to help others illustrates that as a community, we’re here for each other.
