Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How can I donate to help stop the spread of COVID-19?

Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about how to donate Personal Protective Equipment.

How can I donate to help stop the spread of COVID-19?

Many residents and businesses across Peel are coming together to protect our essential services workers by donating their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The Region of Peel is accepting donations of unopened, unused and unexpired PPE to support frontline healthcare workers at hospitals and long-term care facilities, public health workers, community service workers and shelters.

If you would like to donate, the Region is accepting:

  • N95 masks

  • Surgical masks

  • Surgical gowns

  • Surgical gloves

  • Eye protection (face shields and protective medical goggles)

Please do not remove your donation from its original packaging. For large donations, courier services can be arranged by contacting COVIDdonations@peelregion.ca.

Monetary donations are also being accepted to help the Region’s COVID-19 response. If you would like to provide a monetary donation, contact regional.clerk@peelregion.ca

For more information on how to donate and for drop off locations, visit peelregion.ca/coronavirus/donations/

Your donations are making a difference! Let’s pull together to help protect our essential services workers and stop the spread of COVID-19.
