The City of Mississauga has an administrative penalty system to make it easier dispute your parking ticket.

If you believe you’ve received a ‘P’ (Penalty Notice) parking ticket in error, have special circumstances or are unable to pay, you can dispute your ticket with a Screening Officer.

If you choose to dispute your parking ticket, you will need to do the following:

  • Prepare by gathering evidence like photos, videos, documents or witnesses to support your case

  • Currently, you can request a dispute online. Fill out the online form to provide your statement and supporting documentation

  • In your dispute, a Screening Officer will make a decision based on your evidence, statement, supporting documentation and what was collected by the officer who issued your notice

  • If you’re not satisfied with the Screening Officer’s decision, you can request to appeal your ticket with a Hearing Officer, whose decision is final
