Today’s question is about how to dispute a parking ticket in Mississauga.

How do I dispute a parking ticket I received in Mississauga?

The City of Mississauga has an administrative penalty system to make it easier dispute your parking ticket.

If you believe you’ve received a ‘P’ (Penalty Notice) parking ticket in error, have special circumstances or are unable to pay, you can dispute your ticket with a Screening Officer.

If you choose to dispute your parking ticket, you will need to do the following:

Prepare by gathering evidence like photos, videos, documents or witnesses to support your case
Currently, you can request a dispute online. Fill out the online form to provide your statement and supporting documentation
In your dispute, a Screening Officer will make a decision based on your evidence, statement, supporting documentation and what was collected by the officer who issued your notice
If you’re not satisfied with the Screening Officer’s decision, you can request to appeal your ticket with a Hearing Officer, whose decision is final
