Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - When are City outdoor pools and spray pads opening?

Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about outdoor pools.

When are City outdoor pools and spray pads opening?

As of Saturday, June 12, Streetsville and Lions Club of Credit Valley outdoors pools have opened. The remaining outdoor pools will open on Saturday, June 19. Reservations are required and payment will be taken at the pool.

We are still gearing up for indoor pool openings when provincial regulation and public health units deem it’s safe to do so, but at this time, indoor pools remain closed.

The Celebration Square Wading Pool opened on June 11 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with capacity limits. Residents waiting to go into the wading pool will be required to line up and ensure they maintain a two-metre distance.

There are also 28 spray pads located throughout the City that are open for residents to enjoy.

As a reminder, if you are experiencing COVID symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive, please stay home. Please social distance and wear a mask when this isn’t possible. Ontario moved into Step One of the Roadmap to Reopen on June 11, which means that outdoor gatherings can have up to 10 people.
