Where to experience cool Canadian safaris

Have you been thinking of going on a safari adventure recently? If so, then Africa is generally the go-to option for most people, although it doesn’t have to be because Canada has some amazing safari destinations of its own. Visiting Niagara’s wine country and exploring a major city like Toronto appeals too, of course, but Canadian safaris are certainly on the rise also.

Embarking on a wildlife adventure in Canada definitely isn’t for the faint-hearted, though, especially given the landscape in certain parts of the country. For instance, hiking mountains and navigating icebergs are just two of the likely scenarios you could find yourself in with a professional guide. For some people, the idea of any potential dangers puts them off the experience, instead opting for some indoor wildlife documentary viewing instead or a session of a popular game like Pharaoh’s Daughter slot game, a title where players are immersed right in the heart of Egypt for a unique adventure of their own. There is no doubting that seeing the animals up close and personal in their natural habit is unbeatable, though. In fact, it’s the experience of a lifetime for many people. Given Canada’s offering in terms of safari destinations, let’s take a look at some of the best destinations below.

African Lion Safari

As we’ve touched on already, you don’t have to go to Africa to see some of the continent’s most famous wild animals. Located in Toronto, the African Lion Safari park is a wonderful location to explore. Every turn that you take, you’re likely to see African lions relaxing in the perfect environment for them. Whether you drive or take the park’s bus, you’ll see a wealth of other animals, too, such as giraffes, baboons, Asian elephants and ostriches.

Great Bear Rainforest

A truly stunning location, the Great Bear Rainforest is actually the largest temperate rainforest in the world, therefore making it the perfect haven for a wide variety of wild creatures. Alongside the beautiful scenery on offer as you dive further into the rainforest, the animals that you could potentially see there are grizzly bears, black bears and spirit bears. With its vast selection of lakes, you might even spot some humpback whales and orcas, too.

Visit Safari Niagara

Packed full of more than 1000 animals, Safari Niagara is the perfect venue to enjoy an animal-themed adventure. Given its close proximity to Niagara Falls, some people even combine going to the privately-owned nature park with a visit to the world-famous waterfalls. Alongside seeing a range of different animals in a welcoming environment, there are numerous fun activities for people to do in the park also. For instance, you can try catch and release fishing, take a ride on a safari tram, try a rope course, and try a splash pad.

Other options include going to Parc Safari, visiting Somerset Island, and venturing to the Baffin and Bylot Islands.
