Have Feelings About Fireworks? The City Wants Your Input!

It’s no secret that cities worldwide, including Mississauga, use fireworks as a way to bring families and neighbours together. On Canada Day, Diwali, Lunar New Year and Victoria Day, residents do not need a permit to light fireworks on their property. However, in recent years, many residents have voiced their opinions fireworks-related issues. Some people have expressed concerns with late night noise, air pollution or how the loud noise affects their pets.
On the other hand, some residents enjoy firework displays and say that it’s a great way to celebrate special holidays with their neighbours, family members and friends. Regardless of how you feel about fireworks, your input matters and the City of Mississauga wants to hear your thoughts about it!
All of you have to do is complete the survey online – it just takes a few minutes and is accessible to residents until March 20. This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard.
