Why are you running for Councillor of Ward 5?
I’m running for the position of Councillor for Ward 5 because I am a resident of Mississauga, specifically Ward 5. The concerns that I hear from my fellow residents resonate deeply with me.
Like them, I feel a sense of frustration and urgency to address the challenges we face. In my life, I’ve been fortunate to receive abundant blessings, and I feel a strong calling to give back to my community. When the opportunity arose to utilize my experience and skills to serve as a Councillor, I wanted to apply.

What are your top 3 campaign priorities and why?
My top three priorities are safety and security, safety and security, safety and security. Over recent times, residents of Mississauga, especially in Ward 5, have been living in constant fear with safety and  fear of affordability. This is exactly why, above all else, preserving lives and ensuring the safety of our community members is paramount. Canada has always stood for a country where these two things were never a concern as they are now. Having been born in Canada,I know my family could leave our garage door open, or  our front door open, and go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning without having to worry about anything in the world. So my biggest and foremost goal is to bring those days back for every family in Ward 5. Additionally, I'm committed to advocating for free transportation for our seniors. Their contributions to our society are immeasurable, and it's our duty to provide them with the care and respect they deserve. Addressing affordability, the cost of living, and housing is also crucial. I believe in actively engaging with Ward 5 residents to tap into their knowledge and ideas, make use of our existing huge potential of creating jobs for Ward 5 with a huge commercial area centering residential areas, and working collaboratively to find immediate solutions.

How do you plan to actively involve and include residents in community decisions?
Inclusivity is foundational to effective governance. As public servants, our role is to serve the community. We must recognize that government is not a business; it's a steward of public resources. My approach involves creating opportunities and processes within the legislative framework to ensure that residents from all corners of Ward 5 have a voice in decision-making. Working alongside the city, I will strive to foster a culture of resident involvement in shaping our community's future.

How will you actively support our local businesses if elected?
Ward 5 boasts a unique position as the gateway to Canada, with its strategic location surrounding the airport. This presents abundant opportunities for tourism and business expansion within our ward. I am keen to leverage the insights and experiences of long-standing residents and business owners to encourage further investment in Ward 5. By nurturing our local businesses, we can create more jobs and foster economic growth for the benefit of all residents.

What does Ward 5 currently excel at?
Ward 5 is distinguished by its thriving industrial and aviation sectors. As the entry point to Canada for many travelers, it serves as a beacon of opportunity and innovation. I am excited about the potential for growth and development in Ward 5, and I am committed to ensuring that we continue to excel and serve as a model community for the rest of the country and the world.
