1. What are your top 3 campaign priorities and why?
My top priority as Member of Parliament will be to stop the rise in crime and make our communities safe again. A much-needed overhaul of our justice system will mean repeat offenders remain in custody and will deter would-be criminals from getting involved in nefarious activity in the first place. The Liberal government's "catch and release" policies have turned our communities and our country into 'open season' for criminal activity. This must change. Individuals, families and neighbourhoods cannot thrive if they don't feel safe.
Furthermore, we need to make life more affordable for Canadians. Only a Conservative government will axe the carbon tax for good, make Canada more self-reliant, increase jobs, spur our economy and make buying a home affordable, following a decade of failed Liberal policies that have made life harder for Canadians.
2. How do you plan to actively involve and include residents in community decisions?
Communication is key. I share information. I ask questions. I listen. I take calls. I respond to emails. I hold community meetings. I sit down face to face, one on one. I work with residents to find solutions. I always have. With 25 years of experience in public service, I take pride in my track record of engaging with residents on issues that matter to them and impact their day-to-day lives. I will continue to do so as MP.
3. What sets you apart from the other candidates?
I don't just promise; I deliver. As a candidate with the Conservative Party of Canada, I will usher in change - not just a facelift but actual change - that our country and community desperately needs. Our citizens are not better off than they were 10 years ago. We can and must be better off in the next four. A Conservative government is the only one that will put Canada and Canadians first.
Mississauga-Streetsville is my home. I live here, raised my family here, took my kids to hockey here. I've served this community for 25 years. I'm fully invested in getting the most for our residents and I have the experience and drive to get it done.
