Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How do I report a power outage in my neighbourhood?
/Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.”
We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
This week's question is about power outages.
How do I report a power outage in my neighbourhood?
If there’s a power outage or electrical emergency in your neighbourhood, you can reach out to Alectra Utilities to report it. Alectra Utilities is the electricity utility and distributor that serves Mississauga and other nearby municipalities. Their system control and call centre staff are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
There are two ways you can submit a report:
· By telephone at 905-273-7425
· Through their online form
You can also track the current outages in your neighbourhood with their outages map.
For more information, you can visit alectrautilities.com. For local outage updates, you can follow @alectranews on Twitter.
If you’ve got a question about the City, we want to hear from you.
