As the global pandemic continues to affect us, more and more local businesses and community members are coming together to support one another and truly embody the spirit of togetherness.

Mississauga’s Pump Hospitality Group has launched a creative way to continue this via their “Community Truckload Sale” which happens on Saturday, June 6th, 2020, with a portion of proceeds going directly to The Compass Food Bank.

Here’s how it works:

1. Between now and noon EST on Friday, June 5th, place your order on-line for restaurant quality food and enjoy wholesale pricing.
Available items include steaks, burgers, wings, lobster, ground beef, chicken and much more.


2. Arrive at the Erin Mills Pump & Patio on Saturday, June 6th between 10AM and 2PM to pick up your order.

Scott Bonikowsky, Owner & Chief Commercial Officer of The Pump Hospitality Group, provided the following information regarding this initiative:

Where did the idea come from to have a Truckload sale?
When we temporarily closed all of our restaurants in March we donated 1,000 pounds of fresh produce into the community because there are so many who were struggling. Our restaurants are deeply entrenched in our local neighbourhoods and have been for years - our customers are like friends and family to us. Now that we have reopened all five locations for takeout and delivery, we wanted to do more for the community.
The truckload sale came out of that question: what more could we do for the community that we are so fortunate to be part of?

What community organizations will benefit from this?  
We are going to work again with The Compass Food Bank who are doing such amazing work in an incredibly difficult time.

Is there a limit on how much someone can order?  
There are no limits on the amount ordered.

(Editor’s note - keep in mind that even though there’s a lot of food that can fit in one truck, it still has a finite capacity so order earlier than later.)

How will the contactless pickup system work logistically?
 Customers will be entering from the Dundas St. entrance and exiting from the King Forrest entrance.
We will place your order in your trunk via a no human contact system for everyone’s safety.

Is this open only to Mississauga residents, or can anyone participate?  
We purposely opened this up to everyone.
