Modern Mississauga presents Ask The City - How can I access a pop-up COVID-19 testing location in Mississauga?
/Modern Mississauga and the City of Mississauga have come together to present an ongoing series called “Ask the City.” We’ll share relevant information here and answer your questions about our city.
Today’s question is about pop-up COVID-19 testing locations in Mississauga.
How can I access a pop-up COVID-19 testing location in Mississauga?
Mobile testing in Peel is now making stops and testing residents for COVID-19 in Mississauga.
The next pop-up testing location will take place at Meadowvale Community Centre this Friday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
No appointment is required, but please wear a mask when you arrive. If you don’t have symptoms of COVID-19 but have been in close contact with someone confirmed or suspected to have the disease, work in a high-risk setting (like retail, health care or food processing), you should get tested. If you have symptoms, please go to a hospital-based assessment centre, like Trillium Health Partners.
Mobile testing is the first step of a larger plan to expand COVID-19 testing across Peel. Targeted testing through pop-up and community sites will reach those at higher risk of contracting the virus.
Visit peelregion.ca/coronavirus/testing/#assess as often as you can, as dates and locations of pop-up centres are added on a regular basis across Peel.
If you’ve got a question about the City, we want to hear from you!
