Your 2022 Mississauga garbage, recycling and organics collection schedule

Mississauga’s waste collection schedule, as part of the Region of Peel, follows the same two-week schedule in 2022.
One week is garbage, the next week is recycling and these alternate year round.
Organic waste via your green bin is collected weekly.
Yard waste has its own set schedule, along with garbage exemption dates.

Note that there is a date in January where tree pick up occurs.

A few handy reminders:
Put your waste on the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day, but not before 7 p.m. the night before.

• Individual bags and containers must not weigh more than 20 kg (44 lbs) each.

• Keep your waste separate from your neighbours'.

• Clear the way for collection trucks. Don't leave hockey nets and basketball posts in the street.

• Excess bags of garbage must be tagged. Order tags.
